Launch Party is a Success!

The opportunity to see the new branding and identity materials was a trip Back to the Future for the Meador employees arriving at The Log Cabin for our WickedWayCool80s launch event on Thursday, the 6th.
With the room full of neon brights, employees dined on Wendy's burgers (Where's the Beef? Get it?) and Fresca and other staples of the 1980s...including Rita's now famous bread bowls and dips!
Unveiling the company's new expo booth banners, the new website and identity materials was the excuse for the party! Comments were made by Ben Meador, Jill Silman and Melinda Torrison. Mindy Miraflor, Ashley Wright and Michelle Martinez made a special presentation, as well.
Special thanks to Diana de los Reyes, Rita Townsend and Val Smith who worked very hard to make the event a success.
Several of those who had participated in the month-long WickedWayCool80s contest were rewarded at the end of the program: Ashlee Hamilton, Shirley Feeback, Janet Young, Trish Taylor, Angela Zirkle and Kristine Forrester.
While the DJ played favorites from the 1980s, a Championship Pictionary game raged in the back corner. It was a close and hard-fought victory, but the team of Kathy Cowart, Michelle Martinez, Ashlee Hamilton, Jill Silman and Melissa Ghoulson took the prize!

80s Fads and Fashion Winners

And the winner is...Angela. Girl, did you ever get the hairspray out of your hair?

Thanks to everyone who dressed the part for our Stuck in the 80s Fads and Fashion Day.

The voting was very close--I'd say Angela won by "a hair"--actually by lots of hair sprayed very high! Those are the real deal rooster bangs!

Congrats on the extra 800 points in your WickedWayCool80s account.

But Ashley garnered quite a few votes of her own. For that, she received 400 points.

An additional 22 points were distributed among everyone that dressed for the day...

CoolEagle Says...

Ok, I confess I destroyed all of my Garbage Pail Kids cards when I quit watching Jennifer Beals on my Beta when I had to find time to iron my collar on my polo shirt in order to get ready to Walk Like an Egyptian.
I also had to call Ghostbusters to come over and put out St. Elmo’s fire that burned within me when I got so fired up trying to work Rubik’s Cube.
Being unsuccessful in that endeavor I then turned to Frogger and resorted to using my Care Bear stare when I could not get to the next level.
Becoming frustrated Max Headroom then got me hooked on Diet Coke and I began shouting to let it all out.
My only salvation was when I learned to Safety Dance with Janet Jackson until she had an unheard of wardrobe malfunction and then I woke up.

Vote Now!

Best Dressed of the '80s? Here's a gallery of some of the Punks and Professionals that showed up to work on Tuesday!

Flash Dance? No, Flash Back. Back to the 80s as they really were. Take a look at a few fun photos of Meador as it was "back in the day!"
